Thermal envelope
Thermal barrier installation
We install thermal barriers across exterior envelopes, roof decks and partition boundaries. Mineral wool and rigid boards are fitted to the building's thermal design, with joints and edges detailed for continuity.
Acoustic partitions
Acoustic insulation assemblies
Acoustic assemblies are installed between occupied units to reduce sound transmission. Resilient channels, acoustic batts and layered board are set to the partition design so the completed wall performs as specified.
Mechanical vibration
Vibration isolation for plant spaces
Isolation pads and dampening wraps are fitted to plant room floors and equipment bases. Each product is placed according to the equipment load and the fixing points shown on the project drawings.
Materials and handling
How we handle each material
Each material type has its own handling requirements on site. We follow the project specification for cutting, fixing and sealing.
Mineral wool
Mineral wool
Cut to fit and friction-fitted or fixed to framing, with edges and penetrations sealed to keep the thermal layer continuous.
Rigid boards
Rigid boards
Installed in layers with staggered joints and taped seams, set to the thickness and fixing pattern given in the design.
Resilient channels
Resilient channels and acoustic batts
Channels are fixed to decoupled framing and acoustic batts are packed into the cavity before board closure, as the partition design requires.
